The ProSoft MVI94-MCM is a Modbus Communication Module designed for use with the Flex I/O platform. This module facilitates serial communication via the Modbus protocol, enabling integration with Modbus-compatible devices in various industrial applications.

MVI94 Module with 3 jumpers installed

Serial Adapter Cable (one)


Setting Jumpers

Before installing the MVI94 module onto its base, configure the module using the jumpers located on the bottom of the module.


Installing the Serial Adapter Cables
The package includes two identical serial adapter cables, each featuring a locking-type 8-pin Mini-DIN plug on one end and a DB-9 male connector on the other.
1.Connect the Mini-DIN Connector: Insert the Mini-DIN connector into the Mini-DIN receptacles labeled PRT1 and PRT2 on the Base. To secure the connector, slide the spring-loaded sleeve back while inserting the plug, then release the sleeve to lock it in place. This locking mechanism ensures the cable remains connected during normal operation.

2.Removing the Cable: To remove the cable, slide the sleeve back and pull the plug out of the receptacle.


This process ensures that the cables are securely connected and can be easily removed when necessary.
