The HIMA F8621A Coprocessor Module is used to extend the processing capabilities of central modules in safety-related automation systems. It provides additional computing power and communication functionalities to enhance system performance.
How many coprocessor modules can be installed with a central module?
You can install up to three coprocessor modules next to each central module of the H51q-HS PES.
Up to three coprocessor modules can be installed alongside each central module of the H51q-HS PES. Each coprocessor module includes:
■Microprocessor: HD 64180, operating at a clock frequency of 10 MHz.
■Operating System: Stored on an EPROM.
■RAM: Dedicated to the PLC master project, with buffering provided by batteries on the monitoring module.
■Interfaces: Two RS-485 interfaces, with baud rate settings configurable up to 57,600 bps via communication software building blocks.
■Dual Port RAM (DPR): Facilitates communication with the central module through Bus 1.
